THE PIT STOP RESCUE
WE FIGHT SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO!
Fostering Requirements:
We require that all current household pets be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and up to date on heartworm prevention. We will require confirmation from your veterinarian. If renting, we must have landlord approval. A fence is not a requirement for ALL of our dogs. Fences are a case-by-case determination.
Fostering Process:
Since we are a foster-based organization, our pit bulls stay in foster homes with our volunteers. Our foster parents help to prepare their foster dogs for their forever homes. They work with the dogs on light obedience & socialization. Without foster homes, we would not be able to give this misunderstood breed a second chance at life. If you are interested in becoming a foster for The Pit Stop Rescue, please complete the foster application below. We would love the opportunity to save another life by gaining another foster!
Please remember fostering is a ”training" & "bonding" process for your foster dog while they are waiting for their forever home. We ask that fosters keep an open heart, allowing fosters to stay until they find a forever home which sometimes can take a few weeks, and sometimes, a few months.
